Merissa completed her 6 year Chiropractic Masters Degree at The Durban University of Technology (D.U.T) in 2011, her masters dissertation was titled “The effect of heat therapy on post-dry needling soreness”

Merissa then joined Dr Samantha Westbury and Dr Gary Kirwan at the Chiro Clinic in Fourways as an associate chiropractor, during this period she treated numerous infants and pregnant women.

In 2014 Merissa started her own Chiropractic family practice focusing on infants, children and pregnant women.

Merissa has a passion for all things natural and organic, on her days off you can find her foraging in her garden or at The Bryanston Organic Market

Family Focus:

Merissa has a special interest in pregnancy and paediatrics and has completed numerous post graduate courses in these fields.

Her gentle approach of incorporating Chiropractic and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy provides a unique management of babies and children.

Merissa is the first Chiropractor in South Africa to incorporate CFT therapy with Chiropractic treatment and she enjoys the synergy of this combined approach.
